Many Game Masters run games specifically aimed at beginners. To find games of any system for beginners:
Go to the Find Games page
Go to Filters
Under Experience, choose Beginner
Click Show Games
Learn to Play D&D Games
StartPlaying has a filter specifically for Learn to Play D&D Games.
Any games in this filter meet all 3 criteria:
One-Shot
Dungeons & Dragons 5e (2014 or 2024)
Beginner Experience Level
To find these games:
Go to the Find Games page
Click the Learn to Play D&D filter
Custom Learn to Play Games
StartPlaying also offers you the ability to request Learn to Play games on the day and time that works for you! When you submit a request, it appears on the GM-facing Bounty Board for a Top GM to claim and run for you.
