Individual Permission Management

Within Stellic, you can manage the permissions set on individual non-student users. From the Stellic platform, you can select a user, and manage their separate Student, Audit, Pathway, Exception, Shared Requirement, and Institution Wide permissions. To learn about assigning permission to groups, see Assign Group Permissions.

View Permissions

From the Staff tab, you can view other non-student users and their permissions depending on your role. At a glance, you can view permission types assigned and permission count.

  1. Navigate to your institution's Stellic login page and sign in with your credentials.

  2. From the left navigation pane, select Staff.

  3. Search for and select the user you want to add permissions to.

  4. Click the Permissions tab. The Permission types are displayed in a horizontal tab, with the number representing how many permissions exist for each permission type

    1. For example, the following image shows a user who has (4) Student Permissions, (7) Audit Permissions, (3) Pathway Permissions, and more.

A web interface displays user permissions for student roles, showing view, edit, and messaging options with checkboxes under categories like Doha, Undergraduate, and Graduate.
  5. To view the permissions applied to each type, select the permission category. For example, click Audit.

    1. Under the Audit permissions, the 7 separate permissions are listed. The following screen shows an example of one of the permissions. The permission boxes show at a glance which are applied to this type. This user has permissions to View, Edit, and Publish the Audits under this Liberal Arts Department. They do not have permissions to Change Visibility or Archive.

A pop-up message displays "Allows users to publish audits. Permission: audit-publish" above action buttons for a Liberal Arts department entry.

Note: Based on permission inheritance, when a user is assigned audit publish permissions, they automatically can also View and Edit these audits. These are displayed below as greyed out.
