In Stora, you can now configure both the default and minimum insurance coverage for each unit type. This feature helps you increase insurance sales revenue while also ensuring your customers have appropriate protection for their stored goods. By automatically selecting a suitable default based on unit size, it encourages the right level of coverage and reduces friction during the booking process.
This article will show you how it's done.
1. Go to the settings of the Unit Type you want to set the cover level for, and go to the Insurance section
π‘ This setting must be configured for each individual Unit Type. Applying it to one Unit Type will not automatically apply to your other Unit Types.
2. You will now see the options for Minimum coverage and Default coverage
π‘ If you don't specify a default or required cover level, the system will automatically default to the lowest cover level.
3. All you need to do now is click on the dropdown on both or either coverage you want to set and select the amount.
4. Once done, head to the bottom and click Update Unit Type to save your changes.
π That's it. You've successfully set this unit type's default and/or minimum insurance coverage. When customers book this unit type on your Storefront, these settings will be displayed by default.
