💡 This is just the first step in a series of updates aimed at making it easy to sell add-ons and extras.
The Products feature in Stora lets you add and manage one-off items, such as padlocks or cleaning fees, on invoices. Product sales are tracked separately in reports and analytics, helping you boost revenue beyond unit rentals and providing better visibility into non-unit or insurance sales. You can create Products in the Backoffice and add them to ad hoc invoices.
How to Create a Product in Stora
Go to your Site in Stora.
Find and select the Products section.
Click Create Product.
Enter the product details, upload an image, set a price, and select the tax.
Click Create Product.
💡 Use clear names and images to help identify products quickly.
How to add Products to Invoices
When creating a new invoice, start typing in the line item search.
Select your Product from the list.
Click Save Item to add it to the invoice.
Repeat as needed to add more products.
💡 You can still add custom line items by selecting + Add new line item if the product isn’t in your catalogue.
What can I use this for today?
Here are some examples…
🔐 Padlocks: Sell padlocks to customers who don’t bring their own, either during move-in or later.
📦 Moving boxes & packaging: Offer bundles of boxes, tape, bubble wrap, or other packing materials as one-off purchases.
🧰 Van hire or labour services: Charge for van rental, trolleys, or staff assistance with moving items in or out.
🛠 Admin or setup fees: Apply one-time charges for things like account setup, contract signing, or general admin costs.
🧹 Cleaning charges: Add fees for units that require extra cleaning after move-out.
⏰ Late fees: Manually charge customers who have overdue payments, based on your policies.
How is this different to before?
Before: Freeform line items
You could add custom charges manually to ad hoc invoices
No consistency — you’d have to retype the name and price each time
No visibility in analytics or reporting
No reusable product definitions or structure
Now: Products feature
Create reusable products in the Backoffice (with names, prices, and tax settings)
Quickly add them to invoices without retyping
Product sales appear in analytics and reports, giving insight into what’s selling
A structured foundation for future features (like letting customers select products at checkout)
