Learn how to update insurance on a customers subscription.

Updated over 5 months ago

This article will show how you can change, remove, or add insurance to an existing subscription.

Locate the customer you would like to update and select the subscription ID. Select Edit Insurance within the Pricing section.

You can adjust the insurance coverage level or remove it entirely if the customer has their own insurance by selecting β€˜Customer has own cover.’ Alternatively, choose the desired insurance level to add to the subscription.

Select the appropriate option from the drop-down menu.

πŸ’‘ If the subscription has already started, you have the option to start the change immediately on the next renewal or backdate.

You will then be able to preview these changes before confirming. When you are happy, click on Change Insurance.

Create a unique insurance price

Edit the price to the desired unique price and save. (This creates a permanent record of this price, which you can choose later, but it also makes this the current price for any new bookings from the Storefront, so the next step is important)

Go back into the insurance level straight away and change the price to what it should be for new bookings.

Insurance on subscriptions with multiple units

If you have a subscription with multiple units, you can edit the insurance to ensure the cover level is appropriate for all the unit types. You can create a specific price if needed as well by following the instruction above.
