How to add an additional Unit Type to a Subscription

Learn how to have multiple Unit Types on a Subscription and charge for them.

We would recommend setting up an additional subscription if a customer wants to book more space with you. However, adding another Unit Type to an existing Subscription and charging for everything together is also possible. Here's how:

Adding Unit Types

Select subscription ID on Stora. You can access this via the ‘Subscriptions’ or ‘CRM > Contacts’ tab on the left-hand side.

Select Edit Unit Types.

Under the drop-down menu, select "Add another".

You can then select the unit size and price from the drop-down menu. You will be asked if you want this change to start immediately, on the next renewal, or to be backdated. Select the appropriate response. You can go ahead and preview these changes before confirming.

💡 If you choose 'Immediately,' the customer will be charged immediately once the changes are confirmed. The breakdown of charges can be viewed on the preview screen.

The preview view will show the existing and new units with pricing.

📝 Please ensure to allocate the new unit to the customer.

Stripe will be updated automatically.
