With Unit Type Grouping, you can now easily organise and present your storage units in a way that makes sense for both you and your customers. This guide will walk you through how to use this feature to enhance your storefront.

What is Unit Type Grouping?

Unit Type Grouping allows you to categorise and group different unit types on your storefront. This means you can create logical groupings, making it simpler for customers to navigate and find the specific storage they need.

Examples of Unit Type Groups:

  • Indoor Units - Ground Floor

  • Indoor Units - 1st Floor

  • Outdoor containers

  • Caravan parking

  • Car parking

  • Boat parking

  • Office space

Getting Started

Accessing the Feature:

  1. Log in to Stora.

  2. Navigate to Site > Unit Types.

  3. Click on Groups.

Creating a New Group:

  1. Click on the Create a Group button.

  2. Give your group a name and description.

  3. Upload an image that represents the group.

  4. Show ‘from price’ option. This will display the cheapest display price from a unit type within the group.

  5. Click Create Group.

Adding Units to a Group:

  1. Within the group, select the Add Unit Type button.

  2. Choose the unit types you want to include in this group from the dropdown.

  3. Click Add.

Editing and Deleting Groups:

  1. To edit a group, click the Edit Group button

  2. To delete a group from the group listing, choose the "…" option and choose Delete Group.

Reordering Groups and Units:

  1. Utilise the drag-and-drop functionality to reorder both groups and individual unit types.

  2. Your changes will be reflected immediately on the storefront.

Viewing Changes on the Storefront:

To view groups on the Storefront you must go to Site > Edit Site and select your Unit Type Display to be Group unit types. Click Update Site at the bottom of the page to save your changes.

Visit your Storefront to see the changes reflected in real-time. Customers will now see a well-organised layout with clear groupings of different unit types.
