How to integrate with the Paxton Net 2 smart entry system

Updated over a year ago

We are integrated with the Paxton Net 2 entry system to support the management of Pin entry.

Integrating Paxton with Stora

During onboarding our team will schedule the integration between Stora and Paxton Net 2 based on your onboarding and implementation requirements.

There are a few items that will be needed for this integration including a computer on site running the Paxton software, that is ideally on at all times.

Pins are set to 4 digits by default but can be set at 6 digits.

How to connect a Site to Paxton:

  • Create your site in Stora and ensure units have been created.

  • Contact Stora support or your onboarding manager to schedule the integration with the Stora technical team. Please give as much as notice as possible on installation dates, and keep us updated with any changes.

  • Please provide the following information:

    • Default access hours (Time Zone). e.g. 9am - 5pm

    • General access gates configuration. (Breakdown of the entry points, details of any different areas)

Want to auto-overlock late payers?

With your smart entry integration now set up, you might want to consider setting up -autolocking units when customer payments fail. You can learn more about auto-locking here.

Adding Extra units

If you add more units to Stora after the integration was completed you'll need to add:

  • General access groups. These relate to the entry points on site, i.e. gate access in and out. You can retrieve the relevant access groups by reviewing an existing unit, and copy across to the newly added units. To edit this information, navigate to the unit list in Stora, click on the unit and then hit 'Edit Unit' to view the screen below and enter the details.

  • (Optional) Time zones (access hours) are usually set at the site level, but can be over ridden at the unit level by entering the relevant zone.
