Whether you're looking to create 100, 500, or even over 1000+ discount codes, this feature is your ultimate solution for efficient and hassle-free discount code creation, no matter the occasion—be it marketing campaigns, loyalty rewards, or special events.

  1. Google 'random code generator' (Meridian Outpost for example) and fill up the details.

    • How Many Codes To Generate?: Specify the number of codes to generate. Default is 10, maximum is 50,000.

    • Specify Character Length: Try to keep it short and easy to remember. We recommend 4-5 characters as most of your guests will be ordering via mobile phone. Maximum length is: 16 characters.

    • Use Uppercase Letters?: Place a checkmark

    • Allow For Duplicates?: No

    • Exclude l,i,I,0,O,o,1?: Place a checkmark

    • Prefix: Specify any prefix (maximum of 5 characters) you want to add to the FRONT of your numbers. This text does not change. Example: AA (AA1BZ, AA2BZ, etc.)

    • Suffix: Specify any suffix (maximum of 5 characters) you want to add to the END of your numbers. This text does not change. Example: ZZ (PTYZZ, 9PRZZ, etc.)

    • How would you like your numbers delivered? Downloadable CSV

  2. Click on 'Generate Numbers' and you will see a link to download a CSV file. Then, import the CSV to Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

  3. Download example Excel/CSV file

  4. Copy your discount codes from Step 2 and paste them into the Discount Import template under the "Code" column.

  5. You will now need to find your Venue ID (Store ID): this is used to identify your store in storekit.

    • To locate your Venue ID, go to Stores > Settings > General > Store ID

    • If you want the discount applied to multiple stores in your account, separate the venue IDs with a comma ',' without spaces.

    Example: Fixed discount

  6. Discount types

    • Fixed - The discount value will be a fixed amount. In the template, the '10' under the 'Discount value' column means customers will get £10 off their entire order.

    • Percent - In the template, you may notice the Discount value is "100" for a 10% off discount. Simply add a 0 at the end of your desired discount value as shown in the template.

      • Example: 15% off discount; Discount value: 150

    • Free Delivery - Removes any delivery fees you have on checkout after the discount code is applied. The discount value here is set to 0.

      • Example: Free delivery discount

  7. Once you have your venue ID, add it to your downloaded discount template under the 'Venue IDs' column. You can also limit availability for certain days, set up Time availability, set up a 'Minimum spent' amount and a start/end date.

  8. The last step is to download/export your CSV file and upload it to storekit. On your storekit dashboard, go to Discounts > Import (top right corner).

    • Click on Import

  9. Click on 'Upload data from file'

  10. Does the selected row contain column headers? Click Yes.

    • Click on confirm mapping and make sure the headers match. Code -> Code; Description -> Description, etc.

  11. Click on Review after you have confirmed mapping for all headers.

  12. Press continue after reviewing data. Then when asked 'Are you ready to submit?' click on Yes.

  13. You will then receive a notification whether your upload was successful or not. If successful, go back to the Discounts page and refresh your browser to see your newly imported discount codes! Congratulations!

Note: If it's your first time importing discounts, we recommend testing first by only adding one or two discount codes. If you have any questions, please contact support via Chat by clicking on the chat icon on the bottom right of your screen.
