With the recent enhancements made in Street Diligence, navigating the platform has been updated to improve usability along with the addition of new and exciting features. This guide walks through key features and journeys users are familiar with, explaining how they’ve evolved and where to access tools in the upgraded environment. We’ll also introduce new functionalities unique to the upgraded interface.
Comparing Deals
Previous Journey: In the earlier version, comparing deals was straightforward but limited; users could view document terms side-by-side to compare key metrics through Portfolios, Navigator, or starting from a blank page in the compare module.
What’s Changed: Now, the comparison tool is much more flexible. You can compare entire deals or individual documents, allowing for a broader side-by-side view. Additionally, you can collapse or expand key concepts and concept groups, creating a more streamlined experience that highlights the most relevant data without overwhelming your screen.
Note - The Compare Language feature is not currently included in the Street Diligence upgrade. If you have any questions or immediate concerns, please reach out to support@streetdiligence.com.
Benchmarking Terms
Previous Journey: Benchmarking relied on the Drill-In Analysis tool, where users could chart data to understand the prevalence, favorability, and scoring of key terms. These metrics could be filtered to include consortium data and compared to both company and consortium averages.
What’s Changed: Benchmarking has been redefined for clarity and ease. Users can now see at a glance which terms are more lender or borrower-friendly, based on data within their agreements. Additionally, you can directly compare an agreement’s score with the average scores for both the agreement’s company and the consortium, giving a sharper picture of where each agreement stands in context.
Searching for Deals
Previous Journey: Deal searches used to be conducted either through the Navigator tool using filters or by using the search bar in the top right corner. Here, users could search by either the Deal or Issuer name.
What’s Changed: Search is now global, meaning you can search across the entire site from any page. For more refined results, use the advanced search and filtering options available on the Deal List page. This new approach enables quick navigation across a wider array of documents and data with minimal steps.
Analyzing Key Terms
Previous Journey: Key terms were analyzed in the document view, allowing insight into individual documents rather than comprehensive deal analysis.
What’s Changed: Now, you can conduct term analysis across all documents related to a single deal (such as 1st Lien, 2nd Lien, Fee Letter, etc.). This holistic approach provides a big-picture view of all instruments in one place. You can also drill down to view terms for a single agreement, allowing you to collapse concept groups for a customized focus on specific metrics within a single document or deal.
Navigating For Key Deal Terms
Previous Journey: Prior to the upgrade, users could use the Navigator tool to filter for a set of deals and edit the columns to further analyze key terms.
What’s Changed: Moving forward, users now can navigate key deals and concepts using Filters and Advanced Search. This is relevant for all list pages - Deals, Agreements, Submissions - available. Users can save and name filters of their choosing.
Managing Portfolios
Previous Journey: The portfolio page was previously found on the homepage, offering a basic layout for adding documents, sharing portfolios, and viewing company-wide shared portfolios.
What’s Changed: Portfolios are now managed within a designated Portfolio Manager, where you can create, view, and edit portfolios more robustly. You can add documents from any view within the platform, compare metrics directly, download documents, and access term analysis for all documents within a portfolio. Additionally, you can assign portfolios to team members, attach related files, and share them across your company. New tools for commenting and tagging allow better team collaboration on shared portfolios.
Managing Submissions
Previous Journey: Submissions were managed under a separate tab/module, where users could see all company-submitted documents as well as “My Submissions.”
What’s Changed: Document submissions are now easier to navigate through the global search bar. Simply search for “Document Submissions List” to open it, and from there, advanced search and filtering will help you quickly locate specific submissions. This approach integrates document management more seamlessly into the overall platform.
Reports
Previous Journey: Reports were accessible in multiple areas throughout the previous environment. After selecting parameters, reports would automatically download once you hit 'Generate'.
What’s Changed: All previous reports are still available and can be accessed in multiple areas. Now, you can preview your reports directly in the interface prior to download. Choose from benchmarking, portfolio, or document reports.
New Features
With the updated interface, Street Diligence introduces several new tools designed to enhance productivity and collaboration.
SD Chat: A new communication tool allowing for real-time discussions with your agreements using SD’s own LLM. SD Chat streamlines questions, insights, and data discussions without needing to leave the interface.
Advanced Search: The expanded search functionality enables more granular searching, with filters and indexing across the entire platform, so you can retrieve exactly what you need with ease.
Deal-Level View: Now, you can examine terms, metrics, and analyses at the deal level, giving a cohesive look at all related documents and metrics. This view allows you to see every angle of a deal in one place, enhancing clarity and reducing the need to toggle between multiple documents.
This upgrade is designed to bring you more control, faster access, and deeper insights as you navigate Street Diligence. We encourage you to explore all of what this update has to offer and take advantage of these improved and newly added tools.
