Offers (Consumer Desktop)

How buyers, sellers and landlords can manage offers from their Street desktop account

Written by Elliot Palmer

Offers (Consumer Desktop)

Buyers, sellers and landlords can view and interact with offers through the Street Consumer App, though each role has different levels of access. Buyers can submit offers after viewing a property, while sellers and landlords can view any offers that have been relayed to them by your agency.

Buyers - Submitting an offer

After a completed viewing, buyers can submit a sales offer directly from their desktop account, either after or before leaving feedback, by going to the Buyer tab and selecting Viewings.

From here they can select the 'Complete' viewings tab, and click the 'Make an Offer' button to follow the process for entering their offer amount and add any notes to support it. These notes are stored on the sales offer page in Street for your reference - they are not shared with the seller.

With their offer submitted they will receive on screen confirmation that the offer is pending as well as an email asking them to download the Consumer App.

It's important to note that when a buyer submits an offer, it does not go directly to the property owner. Instead, it goes into your Street account for you to review before deciding whether to relay it to the seller. For more information on managing offers, see our Sales Offer Workflow help article.

Tip! If an offer is rejected, the buyer can also submit a new offer from within the app.

Currently buyers do not see any additional information in their desktop account after an offer has been accepted.

Sellers - Reviewing offers

Sellers can view any offers that have been relayed to during the Sales Offer Workflow in Street by going to the Seller tab and clicking Offers and selecting their property.

Here they can see a list of offers and the details including the offer price, buyer details, financial position, and the percentage above or below the asking price.

It's important to understand, sellers cannot accept or decline offers through the app - this is by design, ensuring your agency always remains in control of the negotiation process. Sellers should contact your branch to discuss any offers they've received.

Landlords - Reviewing Offers

Landlords can also view any offers that have been relayed to during the Lettings Offer Workflow in Street by going to the Landlord tab and clicking Offers & Applications and selecting their property.

Here they can see a list of their offers including the rent amount and the desired move in date. Clicking the 'show additional information' option will show the applicants employment status and salaries.

Similarly to sellers, landlords cannot accept or decline offers through the app - again this is by design, ensuring your agency always remains in control of the negotiation process. Landlords should contact your branch to discuss any offers they've received.

Street is constantly being updated. This can mean that some of these articles become slightly out of date. If you spot something that looks a little bit different to your Street account, please let us know on the live chat so we can get it updated!
