Accepting a Lettings Offer
Once a lettings offer has been made on a property, you can view all offers by going to the property page and clicking Info > Lettings Offers. You can also access them by clicking the offer count shown on the right of the property card.
The offers list shows each offer's applicant name, desired tenancy length, desired move-in date, rent amount, current status and assignee. From here you can click the applicant's name to open the full offer details.
From the offer page you can assign an offer to a user from the top right using the assign drop down.
Tip! If you need to add additional applicants to an offer, you should edit their applicant page. You can do this by clicking the applicants' name and then using the + icon on the applicant page to add an additional person.
Actions on an Offer
From the 'actions' drop down you have a number of available actions.
Edit - The edit option is available while the offer hasn't yet been accepted. From here you can update the offer terms that you entered when creating the offer.
Accept - If you're ready to accept the offer, click accept to proceed to the application stage.
Relay to owner - If you want to email details of the offer to the owner you can use the relay to owner option which will let the owner know an offer has been received. The email won't contain any details but the landlord can login to their Street account to view the offer details.
Reject - The reject option can be used to reject the offer. Rejecting a lettings offer will not send any communications to the applicant or landlord.
Withdraw - If the applicant withdraws their offer, you can use the withdraw option to mark it as withdrawn. Withdrawing a lettings offer will not send any communications to the applicant or landlord.
Accepting an Offer
Clicking accept will open a pop up to mark the applicant as no longer looking. When left ticked, the applicant's record will be updated to show they are no longer actively looking, with the reason recorded as "offer accepted". Untick this if the applicant is still searching for other properties.
Clicking confirm will update the offer status to Accepted and automatically create a Lettings Application pre-populated with the offer details and an email will be sent to both applicant and landlord confirming a lettings application has begun.
Note β Only one offer can be accepted per lettings listing. Once accepted, other offers on the same listing will be locked.
At this point the property status will still show as To Let however this can be updated from the Lettings Application.
You are now ready to proceed with the Lettings Application stage.
