Client Payments (Settings)

The Client Payments feature in Street allows you to setup chargeable services within Street and request payment from your clients who can pay via their Street account.

In order to use the Client Payments feature, you must have the Stripe Integration setup and enabled.

Once the integration is setup, you need to add chargeable services in your settings.

To get started head to Settings > Branch Settings > Street App & Portal > Client Payments.

The first time you open the settings you'll see a breakdown of how it works and can then begin adding services to charge for using the '+ Add a service' button.

Adding a service

Service Type

When adding a service the first step is to select the type of service. Here you can choose between the available services such as AML compliance checks, EPC, photography, probate valuation and more.

Note - It's not possible to add custom service types currently. If there is a service type you want added, please use the 'request a new service type' button and we will review adding it.

Charge

Next you need to choose how much amount to charge and who to charge for the service, per party or person.

If you choose per party, the cost will be charged as a single fee across all clients. For example, if you created a service for photography at £75 per party and there were two people on the owner card, they would collectively pay £75.

If you choose per person, the cost will be charged individually to each vendor / buyer / landlord. For example, if you created a service for AML at £50 per person and there were two people on an applicant card making a sales offer, they would each pay £50, for a total of £100.

Who is the service for?

Once you've set the charge details, you need to select who the service is for. You can choose between vendors, buyers and/or landlords.

The clients you select will determine where in Street you can request payment for the service from. For example, if you created a service for Floor Plans and only selected vendors, it would show on the property page for sales or sales & lettings properties only, not on lettings based properties.

Description

Finally you can add the description of a service. This is optional but is recommend as the information entered here will show on the Street Consumer app when the client makes the payment.

When finished, click 'add service' to save the service.

Editing, Deleting Enabling or Disabling a service

You can edit or delete any existing services by clicking the pencil or bin icons and enable / disable a service by toggling it on/off.

If you edit / delete a service and there are any requested payments currently awaiting payment for a service, they will remain and can still be paid for by clients even if the service

If you disable / enable, is it the same?

Apply to all Branches

If you are a multi branch agency you will see the option to copy the services you have setup in one branch to all branches using the 'apply to all branches' button.

Applying to all branches will overwrite any existing services on those branches.

With your services setup, you can now begin charging clients through Street! For more information see our Client Payments help article.

Street is constantly being updated. This can mean that some of these articles become slightly out of date. If you spot something that looks a little bit different to your Street account, please let us know on the live chat so we can get it updated!
