Managing User Roles and Permissions in Street

Within Street you can create custom roles that govern what permissions your team have access to. Each user can be assigned multiple roles giving you the flexibility to customise their permission access.

Note - Only Branch or Company Admins will have access to User Management and only users with the 'Allow this user to manage roles' permission will be able to edit users roles and permissions.

There are no set rules for which roles and permissions a user should have however typically the Company Admin role would be company directors / owners, giving them access to all settings in the network. While the Branch Admin role would be for branch managers, giving them access to branch settings.

This article explains how to assign roles to a user but for information on how to setup your roles and permissions, see our Roles & Permissions (Settings) help article.

User Roles

To get started head to Settings > Account Administration > User Management > select a user > click into their 'manage roles' tab. From here you can see the list of roles that the user already has assigned.

A role can be removed from the user by clicking the bin icon on the right hand side.

Note - The only role that cannot be removed is the Agent role as this is the 'basic' role that applies to all users.

And new roles can be assigned by clicking the 'manage role's button and ticking the checkbox for each role to apply.

If you want to see what permissions one of their roles has, click the role name and it will take you back to the Roles & Permissions settings page where you can view the permissions.
