Statements and Payment Advice in the Street consumer app
Street gives landlords and tenants access to their financial documents directly through the consumer app, reducing the need to contact your team for copies. Both landlords and tenants have read-only access to their financial documents so neither can edit or delete anything from their account.
Note - Statement and payment advice features are only available where the lettings accounting module is active on your Street account.
Landlords
Landlords have access to two types of financial documents from their Street app: Statements and Payment Advice. Both are accessed from the Accounting section of their app, either from the Overview tab or the Your Home tab by selecting a property.
Clicking 'See All' from the Overview tab or 'Accounting' from the property page will show a breakdown of all statements and payment advice they have received.
Statements
Statements will display any monthly statements they have received, if these are enabled in your settings, showing a summary of income, outgoings, opening and closing balances as well as management details including upcoming maintenance, expiring safety certificates, and inspections.
Additionally, landlords can click the 'generate statement' button to generate their own statement for any date range from within the app. Landlord generated statements aren't stored in their Street app or your Street account, they are generated as a one off document that can be downloaded.
Payment Advice
Payment advice will show any payment advice received, again if enabled in your settings, showing a breakdown of receipts, deductions, transfers, owner payments, and invoices.
Landlords can view, share and download a copy of any accounting documents from here.
Tenants
Tenants also have access to generate their own statement for their tenancy covering any date range they choose. This feature can be accessed from their Your Home tab by selecting their property and clicking Statements. From here tenants can select a date range from within the app
Tenant generated statements show key financial information including opening and closing balances, total charged and total received for the period and a full transaction history with dates, descriptions, and a running balance.
Tenant statements are generated in PDF format and are stored in their Street app to refer back to, but are not stored in your Street account.
