Duplicating Properties
The Duplicate Property option allows you to clone an existing property and add a new address. This may be useful in cases such as a block of flats or rooms within a shared house.
However if you are looking to create a new homes development, you can do this from the dedicated development area of Street. For more information, see our New Homes Developments help article.
Note - If you are trying to duplicate a property to have a sales and lettings listing, this may not be necessary as Street is designed to have both listings running from the same property page. If you unsure, please speak to the Street Support team via live chat.
How to Duplicate a Property
From a property page click 'create' at the top right and then select 'duplicate property details'.
Here you will be prompted to create the new address however the address street, city and postcode will all pre-populate. The only section you will need to update will be the property number or number.
Finally you will have the option to duplicate the EPC, useful if the property is a HMO and the same EPC applies.
When ready, click 'create' and the property will be duplicated with those new details. It's important to note that content specific to the original property eg. sales progression, keys held etc won't be duplicate, so be sure to review the property once you have created a duplicate to make sure there is nothing different/unique to the newly listed property that needs editing.
Street is constantly being updated. This can mean that some of these articles become slightly out of date. If you spot something that looks a little bit different to your Street account, please let us know on the live chat so we can get it updated!
