Valuation Template Builder
The new Valuation Template Builder is currently only available for Street Labs agents.
The valuation template builder lets you configure the default content that appears on your valuation reports, including intro messages, agency introduction, and default URLs and videos, using the valuation template builder.
Note - The Valuation Template settings were previously located at Branch Settings > Valuation Template. The settings have moved and expanded as part of this update.
To get started head to Settings > Branch Settings > Collateral Templates > Valuation Proposals.
Note - To access a valuation template you will need to be a Branch Admin and have a role with the permission 'Allow this user to edit valuation templates' enabled.
For more information, see our Roles and Permissions help article.
Template types
The builder is split into three tabs - Sales, Lettings, and Sales & Lettings - so you can set separate content depending on the type of valuation and changes made on each tab are saved independently.
Clicking into a template type opens the template builder page where you can fully customise your valuation report.
The template builder is split into three sections. On the left you can navigate between the key areas of the valuation report such as About Us and Videos, in the middle you have the a preview of the report itself that dynamically updates as you make changes, and on the right you have the settings & formatting for each section of the report such as brand and font.
Tip! You can quickly switch between valuation types using the drop down at the top left.
Previewing your Template
From the top right, you have the option of previewing what your template will look like on desktop, tablet or mobile.
You can also use the drop down arrow next to the preview button to preview the report in a variety of scenarios including price range and singular price, one or three fee blocks.
Template Builder
Using the left side, the Page Style, Hero Header and Footer areas are mandatory and their order cannot be changed. However for all other areas you can hide/show and drag & drop to rearrange the order.
Page Style
To start, click into the Page Style tab on the left side to set the default formatting for the report. This includes choosing what brand, colours and fonts you want used as throughout the report, as well as some design features such as corner radius on buttons and images.
Hero Header
Next is the hero header, the section that shows at the very top of the report. Here you can choose whether the header image should be the property's location on a map, an image (which can be uploaded) or a solid fill colour. You can also add the 'image alt text' (what screen readers read aloud for visually impaired users and what shows if the image fails to load), as well as the background overlay colour (the colour that shows over the header image.
About Us
The about us section is your agency's chance to make a strong first impression. here you can add a heading and a short paragraph introducing who you are and optionally upload an image, and configure up to two buttons - each with its own label and URL link.
Message
This section pulls in the valuer's details and biography automatically from their profile, so it's ready to go from the start. You can also set a default intro message in the free-text field, which can be tweaked each time you generate a report on a property.
Video
From the video section you can paste in a YouTube or Vimeo link, add a thumbnail, heading, and description, set the playback settings and add multiple videos if needed.
Market appraisal
Set a default market appraisal text that pre-populates each time, useful for standard commentary you use regularly. Everything here is fully editable when you generate the report, so you can tailor it to each property.
Fees and Auction
Both the fees and auctions sections use a fixed default layout and there is no configuration available here.
Documents
Within the documents section you can load any additional documents you'd like to share alongside the report. Each one can have an optional title and subheading to give it some context.
Footer
Finally you can round off the report with an optional heading and an instruct us button to drive next steps. A secondary button with a custom URL can also be added if needed however this will only show on mobile and tablet devices; on desktop this will show the branch phone number and email.
