Once a valuation has taken place, you can locate it either from the main valuation table or directly from the property page from the valuation tile on the right hand side that will give you details about the valuation, and also allow you to "View Valuation".
Sending to the Client
Once you are on the valuation page for the desired property, there will be two options,
"Send a valuation" - Allowing you to move to the next steps and "valuation did not go ahead".
Clicking "Send Valuation" will not send the report immediately, it will instead open the valuation report page and prompt you to enter the information you found at the valuation, such as "Recommended Listing Price" which is what you are recommending / the client has recommended they would like to achieve. You can also add a range on what you expect to achieve.
Sales valuations will also include a section for a Lettings valuation and the same for a lettings valuation, it will include an area for sales information) so that you can add this information that could be beneficial for your clients to know but this is optional.
Note - This section will not allow you to make it available for Sales/Lettings as it is just a guide. If you would like to instruct for both, you would need to cancel the valuation and add a Sales & Lettings valuation
Once you have entered this, you can add your valuation fees. See our fees on valuations and instruction help article if you need more help on this, including how to add a discount (ie an EPC discount or a free first months management fee).
You will also have to ensure your VAT settings reflect how you wish for them to show and how your business operates. This will impact the fees chargeable, showing as Inc or Exc VAT.
After you have entered these details, you can then add to and edit your valuation message, that populates from your valuation template. For information on editing the template, you can see our valuation template help article.
After you have set all of this up, you are ready to send the valuation! You can set a follow up reminder and choose the proposed branding in the last section of this page.
Note - If you don't want to actually send the valuation report to the owner, you can untick the 'send valuation to owner'.
This will complete the valuation report, allowing you to progress to accepting the instruction, but will not email the owner and will not show the valuation report in their Street account.
This can be useful if you've booked a valuation in the past for example and don't need the owner to get the report.
Finally, you can preview what the report will look like using the "Preview" button.
After all this is correct, press "Complete Valuation".
How will this look to the customer?
The vendor will receive an email that contains a list of everything they are able to do regarding this valuation from their account, such as instruct you on the property, manage viewings and see and respond to offers.
Sending a valuation report as a PDF
In order to send the valuation report as an attachment, you would need to choose to Preview it from the valuation screen. This will open the valuation report in a different browser window. You would then need to right click and action to 'Print' the report.
From here, you will have the option to change the drop down for the destination to Save as a PDF.
Marking a valuation as lost
If you have attended the appointment and need to result the outcome as 'Lost', you have the ability to do that via the valuation screen either pre or post the valuation report being sent.
You can add here the reason why, and if it was lost to a competitor they can be added to the section 'Who did we lose the valuation to' and also include the price the competitor valued the property at. Here is how to add a competitor to the system, if they are not already in your Street account.
