How to create and invite users within Street

Creating and Inviting Users

If you are onboarding and setting up your users or need to setup a new starter, you can add them through the User Management section in Street.

Note - To access the User Management settings you will need a role with the permission 'Allow this user to manage users' enabled. For more information, see our Roles and Permissions help article.

To get started head to Settings > (on the left side panel, at the bottom) > Account Administration > User Management.

Creating a New User

To create a new user click the 'Add User' button at the top right of the user management page.

The first step is to choose the user's assigned branch. It's important to note that a user can only be assigned to a single branch, it's not possible to assign them to multiple branches. If a user works across different branches, you should choose their primary branch here. Users can however switch their active branch once setup by clicking their profile icon at the top right and selecting the branch required.

The email address field under the 'details' section will be what the user logs in to their Street account with while the email address field under 'contact details' will be what their email shows as to your clients. In most cases these will be the same however you may have a different client facing email address that you use here. The alternate email address can be used to change the 'from' address when sending emails.

The job title, biography and profile image sections are important as the information entered here will display on valuation reports so should be thought about carefully to ensure it's suitable for a client to read.

When ready to proceed, click 'Submit'. The user will be created and receive an automated invite email asking them to set their password.

Note - If you are currently in onboarding, you will most likely be in setup mode and therefore have notifications disabled so users won't receive an automated email. When ready, you can invite each user manually.

Once the user has been created, the next step would be to assign their appointment types, roles and permissions.

Inviting Users

Other than during onboarding, users will receive an automated invite email to setup their password however you can also manually invite users.

From the user management page, click the three dots on the right hand side of the user and select 'send invite'. Alternatively you can use the 'send invites' button at the top right of the page that will send an agent invite email to all active users that have not yet logged into Street.

Users will simply need to click the 'set password' link in the email to setup their password and complete their account setup.
