Competitors in Street

Street gives you the ability to add local competitors into your account so that when you lose a valuation you can keep track of which competitors you have lost it to. You can then review more granular reporting and determine any trends that might be occurring.

Adding a competitor to Street

To get started, head to Settings (on the left side panel, at the bottom) > Branch Settings > Competitors.

Note - You will need to be a Branch or Company Admin to access the competitor settings.

From the competitors page, click the '+ competitor' button at the top right to add a competitor's details. The only information you'll need here is the their company name and branch name.

Once added the competitor will appear in the table. From here you can also view any other competitors and delete any that are no longer needed using the bin icon.

Including a competitor when marking a valuation as lost

With your competitors set up, you will have the option to select the competitor (if known) when marking a valuation as lost, which you would select from the list of competitors in your system.

For more information on how to do this, see our Sending a Valuation help article.

Reporting on valuations lost to competitors

To run a report on all valuations lost to competitors head to Reporting (left side panel, at the bottom) > Valuations> Valuations Overview.

There are several different filters under this section as there are numerous reports you can run, however, for this specific reason ensure that you choose Lost under the valuation status and press 'Apply'.

This will report will show a lot of different information regarding valuations, however if you scroll down there is a section called Lost Valuations by Competitor and Reason.

You can click the View Data button at the top right to show you a chart with further information, such as valuation date, lost date, valuer etc.

From the data view, you can also export the data to CSV using the 'export' button a the top right.

Note - To access the xxxx you will need a role with the permission 'Allow this user to export data from Street' enabled.
