What is Zapier

Often described as a translator between web APIs, Zapier is a product that allows end users to set up workflow rules to determine how its automations function. It orchestrates the flow of data between tools and online services that wouldn't otherwise communicate with one another.

What is Moneypenny

Moneypenny is the UK's leading outsourced communications provider, delivering telephone answering, live chat, outbound calling, outsourced switchboard and omnichannel customer services.

How does the integration work

With the integration setup, information that Moneypenny capture from calls to your business will come through to your enquiry centre in Street, via your Zapier account. These enquiries will show as a 'general enquiry' however you can setup a 'custom source', eg "moneypenny" during the integration that will show in the source field.

Note - All Moneypenny enquiries will feed into your enquiry centre, regardless of the nature of the enquiry.

To setup the integration you will need both a Zapier account and a Moneypenny account. This is because the data is passed from Moneypenny, through Zapier, and finally into Street.

The Zapier part of the integration requires a 'multi-step zap' and therefore would require a 'starter' account at least, as outlined on the Zapier Pricing page.

FAQs

  • Are there any required fields for an enquiry to come through?

    • When Moneypenny are entering the details into their system, the integration requires the phone number and/or email address field to be populated correctly.

  • What happens if an enquiry fails to come through from Moneypenny to Street?

    • It may be that Moneypenny have entered details incorrectly, for example put the caller's phone number in the email address field, it will fail to pass validation and will get stuck in Zapier. In this case, please check your Zapier account for any 'failed zaps' or speak to either Zapier or Moneypenny directly.

How do enquiries come through to Street

Once the Zapier and Moneypenny integration is setup, any enquiries that are submitted by Moneypenny will pass through Zapier and appear in your Enquiry Centre.

Your enquiry centre can be found on the left side panel:

These enquiries will appear as a 'general enquiry' and, if you have setup a custom source as outlined above, the source field will show with that custom source.

For more information on how the enquiry centre works, see this help article.
