What are Permitted Occupiers?
A permitted occupier is an individual authorised by the landlord to live at the rented property but isn't the tenant. A permitted occupier is not a party of the tenancy agreement. This means that the legal relationship of the tenancy is only between the landlord and the tenant.
How to add Permitted Occupiers to a tenancy in Street
Note - When adding a permitted occupier, they must be a 'person' in your network. If needed, you can just create a new person when adding them.
If creating a tenancy directly from the property page or via a lettings application, you'll see the option to add a permitted occupier below the 'tenants' section by clicking add new permitted occupier.
If you have an existing tenancy and need to add the permitted occupier, head to the tenancy page > tenancy details tab > add new permitted occupier.
How to add permitted occupiers to a lettings offer
If you are creating a lettings offer that includes permitted occupiers, these can be entered on the lettings offer page. For more information, see our Creating a Lettings Offer help article.
