How is Cost per purchase calculated?

Updated over 2 months ago

Cost Per Purchase (CPP) in Strique measures how much you're spending on ads to acquire a single transaction or order. It helps you understand how efficiently your ad spend is converting into actual sales.

Formula:

CPP = Total Ad Spend ÷ Number of Purchases

What Strique uses:

  • Total Ad Spend is pulled directly from your connected ad platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads, Amazon Ads, etc.).

  • Number of Purchases is sourced from your ecommerce platform (e.g., Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, GA4) and reflects completed orders within the selected date range.

Platform-specific vs Blended CPP:

  • Platform CPP: Strique calculates CPP separately for each ad platform using only the purchases attributed to that platform.

  • Blended CPP: This combines total ad spend across all platforms and divides it by total purchases across your connected sources.

Strique gives you CPP at both the campaign and account level, so you can identify which channels or campaigns are acquiring customers at the lowest cost. This makes it easier to optimize your budgets and improve ROI.
