Capturing Marks

Marks are captured from within My Courses.  Each course or module must therefore have an assessment (Exam or assignment).

  • To Capture marks, navigate to My Courses and View the module or course you would like to mark

  • Select Qualification or Short Course and then Campus (if more than one).

  • Navigate to the tab: Assessments and select the correct Group.  Here you will be presented with all assessments.

  • In line with the Attempt (1, 2, etc.) click on Options and select Capture Marks from the drop down list

  • Enter the marks and click on Save

Note:

  1. The red notification above informs you that the assessment attempt has not been published, which means, the student will not be able to see his or her result, until it is published.

  2. If the mark field shows grey or inaccessible, this is a result of Staff Access Control which needs to be edited.

Assessments Attempts

This feature allows you to add as many assessment attempts as you wish. For example, you can add Attempt 1, 2 and 3 or add an Exam, Supplementary, Special Concession or Aegrotat.

This you can do by:

  • Select My Courses from the Main Menu bar

  • Navigate to the correct subject or module and View

  • Select your Campus

  • Select Assessments

  • Select the relevant group

  • Scroll down to your assessment (Exam, Test or Assignment for e.g.)

  • You can add an attempt by clicking on the Add button or

  • You can click on the Options drop down to either, Edit, Set Questions, Capture Marks, Grade Submissions, Publish Results or Delete the Attempt.
