Activating, grading, notifying students and student access

Online Tests Setup Overview (reminder)

  • Select My Course from the Main Menu Bar and View the module of which you want to setup the online test for. 

  • Select the Campus which you are working in

  • Select the Assessments Tab and the group which you are creating the online assessment for

  • On the top right, under List of Assessments select Options > Add Assessment. Fil out the required detail and ensure you select Allow File Upload for Online Assessments, if you need learners to upload anything

  • Once created, under the Attempts section of the assessment, select option for a given attempt, then select Set Questions

  • Create your Assessment paper

  • Once completed, close the page and return to your assessment

  • On the main assessment, i.e. not the attempts, select Options > Put Online

  • You now have an online paper setup

Grading assessments

When viewing your submissions, you will see a list of students doing the assessment, click on each student to grade their individual paper

The lecturer will be given the opportunity to mark, update and provide feedback on this page

You will also be able to view any documents the student may have uploaded for the assignment

Notifying Students of the Assessment

Notifications are not auto generated by the system.  Lecturers will need to notify their students either through the Notice Board feature, e-mail, sms or other

How do Students access the online assessment?

  • Log on and select the Assessment feature on the Main Menu bar

  • Select the relevant Assessment and follow the prompts
