How to Auto Add Adders in Your Proposal?

Updated over a week ago

Auto adders help automate the inclusion of specific components in a solar proposal based on predefined conditions. This feature allows adders to be applied automatically when relevant, streamlining the proposal process and reducing manual errors. Follow the steps below to enable auto adders:

Step 1: Locate “Manage Database” on the main menu and select "Database".

Step 2: Click on the “Solar System” tab.

Step 3: Select “Adders”.

Step 4: Choose your "Adder" .

Step 5: Click on the “View Detail” button.

Step 6: Click on the “Edit” button on the right.

Step 7: Select “Auto Add” and click “Update”.

Note: Adders will be automatically included in proposals if configured to do so, either when specific conditions are met (such as panel, battery, or inverter manufacturers or types, system size, or distance criteria), or always, if the “Always” option is selected during setup, which overrides all conditions.

Note: Enter the total panel number to enable automatic addition of adders in proposals. If the panel quantity meets the auto-add conditions configured in the database, the corresponding adder will be automatically included in the proposal.

If an adder was added via automation and the proposal design is later updated, resulting in a change to the total panel count, the adder will be automatically removed if it no longer meets the required conditions.

Note: When any of these adders (mounting type, optimizer, energy management device) are selected in a proposal, the details are automatically reflected in the System Details section. A new Energy Management Device (EMD) option is now available and can be added to proposals from the Battery section. You can manage and maintain your own list of Energy Management Devices in the Additional section of the database, making it easy to select and include them in proposals. Energy Management Devices act as supplemental system information that can be specified alongside batteries.
