Set Minimum Quantity for Batteries

Updated over a week ago

You can now define the minimum number of batteries required for each proposal directly within your database. This feature gives you more control over system sizing and helps maintain compliance with local requirements (like utility minimums or incentive rules).

Once a minimum quantity is set, it will automatically appear in the battery section of your proposal, ensuring that no quote is generated with less than the required number of batteries. This is especially useful for battery products like Sonnen, which may need to be installed in specific minimum quantities in certain territories.

Note: If a minimum quantity already exists for a specific territory, the system prevents duplicate entries, this ensures consistency and avoids conflicts.

Step 1: Locate the “Manage Database” tab on the left-hand side and click "Database".

Step 2: Click on the “Batteries” tab.

Step 3: Select “Batteries” from the sub-tabs

Step 4: Find the battery you want to update (e.g., Generac or Sonnen Evo 10), and click on the “View Detail” button on the right side of the row.

Step 5: Scroll down to the Battery Detail Page and locate the “Price Information” section. This is where you can set pricing for each state or territory, define margins, assign bonuses (such as the Sonnen Bonus), and now, configure the Minimum Quantity required for proposals as well.

Step 6: Scroll down and right to find the “Minimum Quantity” column. Each row corresponds to a specific job type (like Solar). The Minimum Qty column shows the required number of batteries that will automatically be added to the proposal (e.g., “1” in the screenshot below). You can also set different values here based on territory or job type if needed.

Step 7: Click on the "Edit" button to set the battery quantity and click "Update."
