How to Set Up and Use Aurora Self Request Mode

If a sales rep is unable to design the customer’s solar layout in Aurora, they can opt to request a design from an Aurora designer by converting the proposal from self design to request design. This feature is only available is enabled in the settings. Follow the steps below to enable and use this feature.


How to Enable Request Design in Self Design Mode

Step 1: From the main menu, open the profile dropdown and select “Settings”.


Step 2: Select “Aurora Settings” and click on the edit icon to adjust the settings.


Step 3: Toggle “Enable Aurora Self Request Mode”.


Step 4: Click “Update” to save the adjustments to your Aurora settings.


How to Request Designs in Self Design Mode


Step 1: From the customer’s proposal page, click “New Proposal”.


Step 2: Enter the customer’s address, select the job type and select the Aurora Self Design tool. Click “Create Proposal” to save.

Note: If your customer already has an existing Aurora proposal, you can enter the Aurora project ID here.


Step 3: Select the proposal owner from the “Choose Owner” dropdown menu, then click “Save”.


Step 4: Click “Request Design”.


Step 5: Click “Yes”.


Step 6: Your proposal will convert to an Aurora Request Design proposal.
