With the request design feature in self design mode, users can choose to convert a self design proposal into a request design proposal and sync their design directly from Aurora, or, conversely, convert a request design proposal into a self design proposal. Follow the steps below to enable and access this feature.
Step 1: From the main menu, open the profile dropdown and select “Settings”.
Step 2: Select “Aurora Settings” and click on the edit icon to adjust the settings.
Step 3: Locate and enable the “Enable Aurora Design Request With Self Mode” setting.
Step 4: Click “Update” to save your changes.
Converting a Self-Design Proposal to Request Design
Step 1: From your self-design proposal, click “Request Design”.
Step 2: Click “Yes” to continue.
Step 3: Click “Aurora Project” to view the Aurora project details.
Step 4: On the Aurora project page, you can sync the solar design using the “Sync Design From Aurora” button, and update the design stage by clicking on the edit icon next to the “Status” field.
Converting a Request Design Proposal to Self Design
Step 1: From your request design proposal, click “Design Request”.
Step 2: Select the designer and the appointment date, then click “Save”.
Step 3: Click “Aurora Project”.
Step 4: Click “Create Aurora Project”.
Step 5: Select “New Project” from the “Select Type” drop-down and click “Done”.
Step 6: Scroll down to the “Project Designs” section and click “Add Design”.
Step 7: You will see the “Design In Aurora” button available. You can now complete the request design using the self-design mode workflow.
