Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1
Sign in with your username and password.
Step 2
Click"New Customer" in the top right-hand corner to create a new lead.
Step 3
Input the customer’s address and basic information. The address can be added manually by clicking on the“Manual Address” checkbox. Select the job type and assign it to a user by clicking“Assign To”.Fill out setter and lead source details, as well as other information. Click“Create customer” in the top-right corner of the page.
Step 4
You have now created a proposal card. Click"View Detail" to begin generating a design and pricing.
Step 5
Click the“Utility” drop-down box in the Consumption profile section. Select the correct utility company. All of the data for that utility is being pulled in real-time to ensure accurate utility rates.
Step 6
Scroll down to enter the client's kWh usage. You can opt to either enter the monthly or annual usage by switching the toggle. The predictive AI will also generate an assumed consumption amount based on the address entered. Likewise, if you only have a few months of data available, the software will attempt to auto-fill the other months' data.

Click“Start Design”.
Step 8
Most homes will be able to utilize the AI-Assisted design tool. Identify the correct home, align it with the tool’s crosshair and click"Run AI Design".
Step 9
Click on the modules that you want to include in the design. You will notice thesystem size, offset, and productionall change in real-time. Update theElectric Billpricing andAnnual Usagethat suit your customer’s needs. You can select the type of panel that goes into the system alongside the design.

Click“Save”.

Your AI-Assisted Design is ready with system size details. You can even add an inverter to your design.

Scroll down and turn on the battery toggle to add batteries to your proposal.

Choose if you would like to quote abackup batteryOR agrid-tied batteryhere.

Add as many rooms or appliances as your customer needs to back up. Select the room or appliance to increase or decrease the quantity. Select the desired battery for the project. The battery recommendation algorithm will calculate how many batteries the customer needs to back up the added rooms or appliances, and increase or decrease the number accordingly. Select the desired battery for the project. Keep in mind that a 1.7X battery-to-solar ratio in CA and a 1.5X battery-to-solar ratio in Puerto Rico is required. This will ensure the customer has enough battery reservoir to offset " on-peak" and evening consumption.
Step 15
If you require additional equipment for your quote, scroll down to the“Add-on” section. This section is optional. Click“Choose Adders”.
Step 16
Select the adders and click“Done”.
Step 17
You can opt to add a down payment amount before selecting your finance options.
Step 18
Scroll down and click"Create Account" to begin the HDM Finance financing process.
Step 19
Select your PPA pricing and click“Create Quote”.
Step 20
Click“Yes” to continue.
Step 21
The quote will be automatically qualified. Click“Finalize”.
Step 22
Click“Send Finance Docs”.
Step 23
The PPA contract will be sent to the sales rep’s inbox first. Click“Sign Your Document” to proceed.
Step 24
Click“Proceed to Document”.
Step 25
Check the acknowledgement box, then click“Agree & Continue”.

Click to sign where indicated.
Step 27
Select your signature style and click“Ok”.
Step 28
Once the document is signed, click“Finish”.
Step 29
The PPA contract will also be sent to the customer’s inbox, where they can follow the same steps to complete the signing process. Once signed, the customer will receive a second document, the ESSA, which they must sign as well.
Step 30
Once all parties have signed, the updated PPA and ESSA“signed” status will show on the HDM Finance quote card.

💡 A solar sales rep presents three financing options to a homeowner right at the kitchen table. The customer sees monthly payments for each option side-by-side and picks the one that fits their budget — deal closed in one visit.
