How to Set Up and Configure Your sunday Terminal (PDQ) ?

Updated this week

Part 1: Connecting a New Terminal

Follow these steps for the initial setup of a new terminal.

  1. Add the Device to the Dashboard In your sunday dashboard, go to the Terminals tab and click the + New Device button.

  2. Name the Terminal Give your terminal an easy-to-identify name (e.g., Bar PDQ) and, to start, select the "Standard" configuration. Click "Create".

  3. Scan the QR Code A QR code will appear on your screen. Take your terminal and use its camera to scan this code. This will uniquely pair the device with your restaurant.

    • Tip: If the camera isn't working, you can manually enter the alphanumeric code located just below the QR code.

Once these steps are complete, your terminal is connected and ready to take payments!

Part 2: Modifying a Terminal's Configuration

To customize your terminals' settings (tip management, receipt printing, etc.):

  1. Access the Configurations From your dashboard, go to the Terminals tab, then select the Configurations section.

  2. Edit the Settings Click on an existing configuration (like "Standard") to edit it, or create a new one. Make your changes and don't forget to click Save.

  3. Sync the Terminal To apply your new settings, you must sync each relevant terminal. To do this, on the terminal itself, typically go to the Settings > Sync Configurations menu.

Syncing forces the terminal to fetch the latest settings you just saved on the dashboard.
