Which SunGod lens should I choose?

How to choose a SunGod lens for bright sun, low light and driving, and answers to common lens questions.

Every SunGod lens has 100% UVA and UVB protection and is impact resistant. The main difference between lenses is how much light they let through, called VLT (visible light transmission). The lower the VLT, the darker the lens.

Where can I see the VLT of each lens?

Every product page has a Lens Guide at the top of the page, above the pre-built options. It shows each lens available on that model, with its tint and VLT.

Which lenses are best for bright sun?

For bright sun, choose Silver Blue, Green, Smoke (non-Iris), Fire, Gold or Chrome.

Which lenses are best for low or changing light?

HV Blue (High Visibility) lenses have a high VLT, so they work well in low and flat light. Iris photochromic lenses darken and lighten with the conditions. Read What are Iris photochromic lenses?

Which lenses are best for driving?

Polarised lenses are good for driving, because they cut glare from roads and windscreens. They can make some head-up displays hard to see, because of the way they filter light. Silver Blue and Smoke are good all-round lenses for driving. Don't drive in Category 4 lenses.

Which lens category are Chrome lenses?

Most Chrome lenses are Category 3, the darkest category that's legal for driving. Some Chrome options are Category 4, which isn't suitable for driving. Category 4 options are marked in the lens options on the product page.

Which lenses are non-mirrored?

Smoke and Brown lenses are non-mirrored on most models. On Zephyrs, Miras and Tokas, the Green lens is also non-mirrored. Smoke lenses aren't fully see-through, but people may see your eyes through them in some light.

Which SunGods have HV Blue lenses?

Every Pace Series model has an HV Blue lens option, in both Iris photochromic and standard versions. SunGod goggles have HV Blue and HV Pink lenses, which aren't photochromic. HV Blue isn't available on Everyday sunglasses.

What's the difference between Silver Blue and HV Blue goggle lenses?

Silver Blue goggle lenses have a VLT of 9%, for sunny and cloudy conditions. HV Blue goggle lenses let in much more light, for low light, flat light and heavy snow.

Are SunGod lenses polarised?

Polarised lenses are available on Everyday sunglasses. Pace Series lenses aren't polarised. Read Are SunGod Pace products polarised?

Why can I see reflections on the inside of my lenses?

Reflections on the inside of your lenses usually mean the frame is too wide for your face, so light reaches the back of the lens. A different model or a non-mirrored lens usually fixes this. If your SunGods fit well and you still see reflections, get in touch, as it may be a fault. Non-custom SunGods can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Read What is the SunGod returns policy?
