What's New
We've shipped several enhancements to the Drafting Suite, including separated blueprint and drafting flows, an upgraded Instant Demand Workflow with new data source options, improved formatting intelligence, in-document chat, a redraft tool with tone and formatting presets, and document version history. We've also added a new document type: Letter of Representation.
The Problem it Solves
Previously, creating and using blueprints shared the same workflow, making it harder to quickly draft from an existing blueprint or experiment with new document types. The Instant Demand flow required more manual editing after generation, and once a document was drafted, refining specific sections meant rewriting them by hand. There was also no easy way to undo changes or return to a previous version, often resulting in extra time spent on formatting corrections and cautious editing.
How to Get Started
To start using the updated Drafting Suite:
Go to the Drafting
Choose Use a Blueprint to draft using an existing blueprint, or choose Draft from Example to upload example documents and create a new one — including the new Letter of Representation document type
For instant demands, select the Instant Demand Workflow and follow the guided steps
How it Works
The updated Drafting Suite works by:
Separated blueprint flows — Using a blueprint and creating a blueprint are now distinct paths. Start from a favorite blueprint to draft immediately, or use "Draft from Example" to upload documents and explore new document types.
New document type: Letter of Representation — A new document type has been added to the available options when drafting from example.
Enhanced Instant Demand Workflow — A guided flow that lets you choose between billing information or the Instant Ledger (available in beta) for economic damages, confirm key case details upfront to improve accuracy, and set a custom file name using your firm's preferred formatting.
Improved formatting intelligence — The system now picks up more styling nuances from your example documents, including table formatting such as shaded column headers, so drafted documents more closely match your firm's style.
In-document chat — After drafting, you go straight into editing mode with an integrated chat. The full document is already loaded as context, so you can ask questions about the case or specific parts of the document without leaving the editor.
Selective redraft — Highlight any section of your document and redraft just that selection. Choose from tone presets (e.g., formal, persuasive) and formatting options (e.g., bulleted list, numbered list, expand a sentence into a paragraph) to refine your document section by section.
Version history — All changes are saved automatically, and you can navigate back and forth between previous versions of the document, so there's no risk in accepting AI suggestions or making edits.
Why it Matters
With the updated Drafting Suite, teams can:
Draft faster with a cleaner workflow that separates blueprint usage from creation, and an Instant Demand flow that confirms key details upfront to reduce post-draft editing.
Produce more polished documents thanks to improved formatting intelligence that captures table shading, styling nuances, and firm-specific conventions from your examples.
Refine with confidence using selective redraft with tone and formatting presets, in-document chat for quick questions, and full version history so you can always roll back changes.
