To create a new update, go to the Company updates tab and click the Create update button in the top right corner.

You can choose from three different update templates:

  • Quick weekly update ☕

  • In-depth company update ✍

  • Industry news update 🔥

Or create a custom update.

If you choose a template, relevant information will be auto-populated for you. You can edit the content as needed, add your own custom content, or choose from our suggested topics by typing / and selecting from the menu. You can also use this menu to embed links or files into your updates, including images, charts, slides, spreadsheets, and videos.

If you’d rather, you can use Surfboard AI to draft content for you. Just click Draft with AI, select an option from the dropdown menu, and follow the instructions when prompted.

When you’re happy with your update, click the Publish button in the top right corner (don’t worry, you can edit a published update at any time). Update user access for the update and click Share to finalize.

Congrats! 🎉 Others can now see and comment on your update.

By default, access for Updates is set to Comment for Everyone on your Surfboard. You can change access to View or Edit for specific people and groups by clicking the Share button within a specific Update.
