Surfe HubSpot Installation: Common Errors and Solutions

Are you receiving the pop-up about missing permissions once you try to connect with Surfe?

Please contact your CRM admin and ask him to activate all necessary permissions to integrate with Surfe in your CRM profile.

What will you need:

- "App marketplace access" ON 🟢

- "Edit property settings" ON 🟢

- "Import" ON 🟢

Where to find them?

Open HubSpot in a new tab.

Go to Settings > Users & Teams, hover over the user and click on "Edit permissions".

When the "Manage user access" panel appears, click the "Choose how to set access" dropdown menu and select either:

  • Start with a template

  • Start from scratch

Then click on the "Choose permission" dropdown menu and within the search bar, type "App marketplace access" to locate this specific permission and enable it.

Next, search for "Edit property settings" and ensure it is enabled. You can disable "Edit property settings" again after setup if you prefer.

Ensure that all essential permissions are activated in your CRM. Pay special attention to those under the "CRM Objects" and "CRM Tools" sections, including the “Import” permission.

Activated all 3 permissions, but the pop-up persists. Here's what to do!

NOTE

Make sure that all the basic permissions are also activated in your CRM.

Choose permissions-> CRM objects->Contacts-> ON ->Companies-> ON ->Deals-> ON.

You can also find all these details in the article → HubSpot setup 🚀

Note

If either you or HubSpot make any system or account-based configuration/UI changes, then HubSpot may reset the permissions that each of your users have, so you may have to reconfigure them as the CRM admin ❗
