One of Surfe's most popular features is message synchronization between LinkedIn and your CRM. When a LinkedIn contact is added to your CRM, Surfe automatically syncs LinkedIn messages each time you open a conversation—available to users on our paid plan.
If you're on a paid Surfe plan, simply click the "Sync with CRM" button in the chat window to sync your LinkedIn messages. This feature is also available with Sales Navigator and offers an additional option to sync messages via Salesloft.
You can activate or deactivate message syncing directly from your Surfe Dashboard under Settings > Features -> Auto-sync of LinkedIn messages.
In accordance with our privacy policy and to respect your private conversations, we do not offer full auto-sync across all your LinkedIn conversations without your consent. Instead, the first time you click "Sync Chat," it serves as your approval to begin auto-syncing within that conversation.
Once you click "Sync Chat," the entire conversation will be synced to your CRM. If you had prior conversations before adding the contact to your CRM via Surfe, the sync will include the last 25 (approximately) messages.
Where does Surfe sync a message in my CRM?
The LinkedIn conversations are grouped by day when added to the contact's profile. The content of the conversation is available in the activity's details and this way, you can have it directly in the timeline.
We use "activities" because it fits the needs of most of our users. In the same way, you have the default activities "Phone Call", "Meeting", and "Email", you now have the activity "LinkedIn Conversation", making it more traceable. All the messages sent within one day are reported as one LinkedIn Conversation in your CRM.
HUBSPOT
For HubSpot users, your LinkedIn conversations will be synced as "LinkedIn Messages" inside the CRM.
COPPER
For Copper users, your LinkedIn conversations will be synced as "LinkedIn Conversations" inside the CRM.
PIPEDRIVE
For Pipedrive users, your LinkedIn conversations will be synced as "LinkedIn Conversation" activities under the "History" section.
Please note that your conversations can only be synced on the "Contact" or "Deal" record, but not the "Lead".
How to sync under my Deals in Pipedrive (only for Pipedrive CRM)?
Go to your Surfe Dashboard→Settings→Admin Settings→Sync Notes and Conversations with the latest Deal→ON.
SALESFORCE
Does Surfe sync a part of the correspondence or all of it?
Once you click on "Sync chat", the whole conversation will be synchronised into your CRM. If you've already had a conversation before adding the contact to your CRM via Surfe, then once you sync the chat, will we sync the previous 25 (approximate) messages. 🚀
