The Sharks Development Squad (SDS) is a bridging program for talented players, typically aged 7–12, who want more training and higher standards than grassroots football alone can provide.
SDS players continue to play for their local club on weekends while training during the week with Sharks coaches. The program focuses on advanced skills, decision-making, and preparing players for JDL trials.
Sessions are held at both Seymour Shaw and 5Sports, and players are grouped by age and ability. It’s one of the most popular programs at the club and often serves as the launching pad into representative football.
