Introduction
Subscriptions allow you to charge customers on a recurring basis weekly, monthly, or for a set number of installments. This is perfect for memberships, services, or ongoing product access, and helps you build predictable revenue while giving customers convenience.
Creating a Subscription Product
Go to Store → Products → Add Product.
Choose any product type (Physical, Digital, Service, or Membership).
Most commonly used for Memberships or Services.
Add your product details:
Title, description, image, price.
Assign to a category for better organization.
Toggle Subscription Product ON.
Set subscription terms:
Setting Up the Checkout
Create a dedicated checkout page for your subscription.
Add product information, testimonials, or guarantees for better conversions.
Select the subscription product in the checkout widget.
Choose 1-Step Checkout for faster signups or 2-step for more detailed data collection.
Optional: Hide unnecessary billing fields for services to streamline checkout.
Pro Tip: Dedicated checkout pages with conversion boosters (e.g., countdown timers, testimonials, money-back guarantees) usually convert much higher than standard store checkouts.
Managing Subscriptions (Customer Side)
When a customer subscribes:
They are asked to create an account with email + password.
From their Profile Page, they can:
View all active subscriptions.
Cancel anytime.
See membership access (if included).
Review order history and billing receipts.
Automatic email notifications are sent for:
Successful purchase confirmations.
Each recurring charge (monthly, weekly, or installment).
Adding Upsells & Bump Offers to Subscriptions
On your checkout page, add bump offers (small add-ons) to increase order value.
After purchase, offer 1-click upsells or downsells for premium upgrades, related services, or add-ons.
Example: $20/month subscription + optional $10/month upsell for bonus content.
Example Use Cases
Membership Website: Monthly access to courses, tutorials, or community content.
Service Plans: Recurring consulting, coaching, or support packages.
Installment Payments: Split higher-ticket purchases into 2–3 monthly payments.
Best Practices
Always provide a clear value promise for subscriptions (what’s included each cycle).
Use a custom Thank You page to guide customers to their premium content or onboarding steps.
Keep pricing simple and transparent and avoid confusing billing cycles.
Consider adding a money-back guarantee badge or clear cancellation policy on your checkout page.
