Are you leaving The Switch and need to check out of your apartment?
Read this information carefully so you can ensure you get your bond back.
We understand that circumstances may change, and you may wish to leave before your contract end date.
It is important to let us know if you choose to move out before your checkout date so that we can prepare for your early departure.
To facilitate this, we ask you to fill the early checkout form provided in the link below:
To ensure a smooth transition, please be attentive to the following procedures and guidelines:
Rent Payment Obligation: Kindly note that even if you leave before your contract end date, you are still legally bound to pay rent until that date within the contract.
Bulk Payment Option: If you'd prefer to settle all your remaining rent in one go, you can make a bulk payment via bank transfer. By doing so, you can receive your bond much sooner. If you are unsure on the amount owing, please feel free to see a Team Member and we can advise how much left is owing for your account. Please refer to the below for our bank transfer details:

NOTE - Once you have completed the transfer, please send through a screenshot of the payment confirmation so we can cancel your regular payment schedule.
Ongoing Payments: If you'd rather continue your fortnightly payments through The Switch app, you'll receive your bond once all rent is settled at your contract's end date.
Don't forget to prepare your apartment: We have attached some important information on how to best leave your apartment to get all your bond money back.
We aim to make this process as straightforward as possible for all our residents. If you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
Some important check out things to note:
Outgoing Inspection
Our team will complete an outgoing inspection of your apartment on your check out day.
If you would like to attend the inspection, please email us on hello@switchliving.com.au to schedule in a time that suits. You are not required to attend the inspection with a staff member. If you do not attend an email with the details will be sent through to you via email after the inspection.
Cleaning
Leave your apartment clean and just like you received it when you checked in. Please make sure you have removed all rubbish, food, and personal items.
To help with this we have attached a cleaning check list.
If cleaning is not on your 'To Do' list, then we are happy to help. We can organise a one off clean by professional cleaners. All you have to do is pack up your things and walk out. A one off clean needs to be booked at least 7 days in advance and the costs start from $100.00.
Donate!
Not taking everything with you? Donate instead of throwing it away!
Take any clean clothes, shoes, bags, linen, towels, blankets, pillows, kitchen equipment and small electronics to our Welcome Hub located on Ground Floor.
We run a Second Hand Market every two months, you can donate during this time as well.
Your Key
If you have received a physical key during your stay, you will need to return this on check out at our Welcome Hub on the Ground Floor. You can also leave your key in your apartment.
Bond
Once your apartment inspection has been completed, our team will check your account to ensure this has been settled. If there are any damages, rent arrears or cleaning charges you will have the option to settle this on departure or have this deducted from your bond.
Your bond will be returned to you directly from the Bond Administrator, so watch out for their email. You will need to log in and accept the bond return using your log in details.

IMPORTANT! If you never approved your bond, we can't give it back to you until this has been done. If you are not sure if you approved your bond, contact the team and they will help you with this.
