How to get to UNSW

Here’s a few guides how to get from The Switch Kensington to UNSW (University of New South Wales):

Walking

  1. Start at The Switch Kensington.

  2. Head north on Doncaster Avenue toward Anzac Parade, and turn left in the intersection of Doncaster Avenue & Anzac Parade

  3. Walk along Anzac Parade until you reach the UNSW lower campus main entrance (approximately 1.5 kilometers).

Note 1: Walking may take around 15-20 minutes depending on your pace.

Note 2: If your classroom is closer to High Street (upper campus), you can turn left into High Street at the intersection between Anzac Parade & High Street.

Public Transportation

Bus

  1. Walk to the nearest bus stop on Anzac Parade.

  2. Take Bus Route 396 to UNSW (lower campus) main entrance.

  3. Get off at the UNSW main entrance stop.

Tram/Light Rail

  1. Walk to the nearest tram stop on Anzac Parade or Alison Road (for example, the "ES Marks" stop).

  2. Catch the Light Rail (L2 or L3 Line) at the nearest Light Rail stop. Take L2 line and stop at UNSW High St stop if heading toward upper campus, and L3 line stopping at UNSW Anzac Parade if heading toward lower campus.

Note: Light Rail is the recommended way of getting to campus with more flexibility.

Driving

  1. Start at The Switch Kensington.

  2. Head north on Doncaster Avenue toward Anzac Parade, and turn left in the intersection of Doncaster Avenue & Anzac Parade

  3. Drive along Anzac Parade until you reach the UNSW lower campus main entrance (approximately 1.5 kilometers).

Note 1: Please check beforehand if you are allowed to halt the car in the locations you are stopping by

Note 2: If your classroom is closer to High Street (upper campus), you can turn left into High Street at the intersection between Anzac Parade & High Street.

Parking: UNSW has multiple parking options, including visitor parking. Check their website for specific parking locations and rates.
