For contactless payments to work properly on Samsung phones, follow these steps:

Set up NFC and default payment service

  1. Open the Settings app

  2. Tap Connections

  3. Tap NFC and contactless payments and turn NFC On

  4. Tap Contactless payments and select Swoo Pay (or Google Wallet) as the default payment app

Set up permissions for Swoo

  1. Return to the main menu of the Settings app

  2. Go to Apps → Swoo

  3. Tap Battery and choose Unrestricted (prevents One UI from putting the app to sleep)

  4. Tap Mobile data and make sure Allow background data usage stays On

  5. Tap Appear on top / Display over other apps and allow the permission

  6. (If shown) go back, tap Change system settings, and allow
