What is root access?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Root access on Android refers to superuser privileges that grant complete control over the device. With these privileges, you can modify any system settings, delete pre-installed applications, and manage files and processes that are typically inaccessible to regular users.

Financial apps, including Swoo Wallet, do not work on devices with root access because having such rights significantly reduces the security of the device. Rooting increases the risk of malware intrusion and data theft, which can compromise the user's financial information. Therefore, applications block launch on rooted phones to ensure data protection and transaction security.

Swoo Wallet requires an unmodified device with official firmware, no root access, a lock screen, and NFC support. If your device is rooted, it is recommended that you reset it to factory settings to continue using the app safely.
