How to use Swoo for contactless (NFC) payment?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

To use the Swoo Pay application for payments, follow these steps

Please note, the Contactless Payments service is currently compatible with Android devices only. iPhone users will not be able to use Swoo Pay for contactless payments.

Ensure that your device operates on the correct Android version, as Swoo Pay is not supported on devices earlier than Android 8.0.

Registration and setup:

  • Open the app and register if you don’t have an account

  • Add your bank card by entering card details or scanning the card using NFC

  • Complete the verification process if required, usually by entering a code received via SMS directly from your bank

Prepare your phone:

  • Ensure NFC (Near Field Communication) is enabled on your phone. This can usually be found in the settings under "Wireless networks," "Other connections," or by using 🔎Search "NFC"

Payment:

  • To pay in a store, simply lid up the screen and optionally unlock your phone

  • Hold your phone near the payment terminal (POS terminal) that supports contactless payments

  • Make sure your phone's screen is on. You may need to confirm the payment using biometrics (fingerprint, facial recognition) or a PIN code

  • Wait for confirmation that the payment was successful. Information about the completed transaction should appear on both your phone and the terminal

Transaction completion:

  • After a successful transaction, you will receive confirmation on your phone and on the terminal, and if necessary, a receipt from the seller
