How do I manage or switch between my different accounts on the dashboard?

How to easily switch between your various challenge or funded accounts directly from the trading platform.

1. How do I switch between multiple accounts?

If you hold more than one account with Take Capital FT (TCFT), such as multiple challenge accounts or a mix of funded and challenge accounts, you can switch between them directly inside the TradeLocker platform without logging out.

Steps:

  1. Open the TradeLocker interface.

  2. Locate the profile avatar icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen.

  3. Click the avatar icon to open the account menu.

  4. A list of all active accounts will be displayed.

  5. Select the account you want to use.

Once selected, the platform will immediately switch to that account and refresh all related information.

2. Why is my balance showing incorrectly?

Balance display issues usually occur when the wrong account is active. The platform often defaults to the most recently used account, which may not always be the one you intend to view.

If the wrong account is loaded, your balance, margin, and equity values may appear incorrect until you manually switch to the correct account.

3. What happens after switching accounts?

After selecting a different account:

  • Balance and margin data will refresh automatically

  • Trading permissions will update based on the selected account

  • Open positions and order history will reflect only the active account

No logout or restart is required.

4. Additional important notes

  • If you recently purchased a new challenge account, ensure you select the account that matches the correct challenge ID and plan.

  • Some new accounts may only fully display updated balance data after placing a trade or a pending order.

  • Initial balances for challenge accounts may not appear until the correct account is selected.

5. Troubleshooting common scenarios

Scenario 1: Balance shows as zero
This usually indicates the wrong account is selected. Switch to the correct account using the steps above.

Scenario 2: New account credentials received
After receiving credentials for a new phase or challenge account, log in and manually select the new account from the account list.

Scenario 3: Balance does not update after switching
If the balance does not refresh immediately, place a trade or pending order to force an update.
