TalkingPoints allows all teachers to send videos to their families at no extra cost!

However, there are a few restrictions to the type of video and video size that you can attach. Those restrictions are set by our cell carrier to ensure that formatting arrives correctly whether families are receiving your messages through the Family App or text message.

Videos must be in .mp4 format and can only be a maximum of 5MB.

Tip: If you need to send a larger video, load it on YouTube or another video service and send the link through TalkingPoints.

Web:

Step 1: Click 'New Message' and select either class announcement or direct message.

Step 2: Click on the picture icon.

Step 3: Select the video you would like to attach to the message from your computer files.

Mobile:

Note: Whether you are sending an announcement or a direct message, you will see the '+' button that will bring up the options to open your camera or look in your phone's library for videos to send.

Step 1: Click on the 'Messages' tab and select the pen and paper from the top right hand corner.

Step 2: Click on the '+' icon to see attachment options.

Step 3: Select 'camera' to make a video, or 'video' or 'library' to access previously made videos on your device.
