What is an Email Template?

An Email Template is a reusable design layout you create once and use multiple times. Templates are all about consistency and efficiency.

  • You design the look and feel of the email — branding, layout, fonts, and placeholders.

  • Templates are stored in the Email Templates tab under Emails.

  • They don’t get sent to anyone until you use them in a campaign.

Think of them as your “blueprints” for emails.

What is an Email Campaign?

An Email Campaign is an actual email you send to your contacts or groups. Campaigns are about execution and communication.

  • You can create a campaign from scratch or start with an existing template.

  • Each campaign includes the subject line, recipients, and final content.

  • Campaigns are tracked, so you can see who received it and how it performed.

Think of them as the finished product that gets delivered to your audience.

How They Work Together

  1. Create one or more Email Templates for your main use cases (e.g., newsletters, announcements, promotions).

  2. When it’s time to send, start an Email Campaign and select a template.

  3. Customize the message, set recipients, and hit send.

Key Difference:

  • Templates = saved designs you can reuse.

  • Campaigns = the actual emails that get sent.
