Check in with your doctor, and listen to your body.

Always speak to your doctor or physician before working out with an injury.

While we’re not able to give medical advice, with common strains and sprains we recommend that you rest the injured area for a minimum of 2-5 days. If these symptoms do not subside when you start working out it is crucial that you see a doctor – pain could be your body telling you that you need rest, or it could be telling you that something is wrong.

Always stretch!!! Tammy has stretches that will ensure you are ready to conquer any workout you are able to give a shot. Stretching, including warming up and cooling down, is a great pre-emptive way to ease your body into and out of your workouts, and prevent injury. Our mobility warm ups will also aid in prevention of injury!

In workouts such as boxing, Tammy Fit provides warm ups and cool downs to allow the body to prepare and relax before and after working out. It’s also great to stretch your body again on your rest days.
