You want the best stats available and you love the swing detection of the TANGENT Golf app on Apple Watch... but occasionally, it misses a swing. Typically these misses occur closer to the green on smaller shots and while it could be easily fixed in post by moving 'Placeholder Shots' as described here, it is actually really easy to manually trigger a swing from a location to make sure you get the swing right away for minimal editing require post round.
If the TANGENT Golf app is missing obvious swings that should be detected, make sure to go here to debug any easy issues that may be reducing detection.
Manually adding a swing from your watch is as simple as two steps.
Step 1: Swipe left to change screens to the 'Distance Details' screen.
Once you are on the 'Distance Details' screen. Simply hit the 'Add Swing' Button! This will add a default swing to your current location, wherever you happen to be standing and will trigger any additional swing details you like to put in based on your watch preferences (including club, mental score, strike, trajectory, etc...)
Simple as that. The swing is logged and will show up on the phone.
