Use Case
Abandoned cart automation typically fetches products in real time when a user abandons their cart. However, store owners often lack visibility into how products will look in the email template without an abandoned cart session.
This feature addresses that gap by allowing store owners to:
Simulate email templates using specific products (e.g., top-selling items).
Ensure email designs meet expectations before the automation runs live.
Steps to Use the Feature
Log in to your BayEngage account.
Navigate to Automations and select the When a user starts a cart session automation from the pre-built recipes or the scratch tab.
Click here to get started with setting up BayEngage Automations.
After creating an automation flow, select the email flow, click the edit icon, and choose the edit template.
Click the Set Preview Profile icon located in the top-right corner of the editor.
A pop-up window will appear, displaying all the products available in your store.
Select the products you want to include in the preview or test email.
Click "Add to Template" and save your template.
To preview the email with the selected products:
Click the Preview icon to see how the email will look.
Optionally, send a test email:
Click "Send a Test Email."
Enter the desired email address and send.
You will receive a test email displaying the selected products in the email template.
