What Is a Certificate?

Certificates in Taylora are automatically generated documents awarded to users upon completing a course. You can fully customize them to match your branding and provide learners with a professional acknowledgment of their achievement.

If you need to know how to associate a Certificate to a Course, check out this guide: Associating a Certificate to a Course.

Accessing the Certificate Section in Taylora

To create a certificate, start by navigating to the Certificates section in Taylora. From the Dashboard, click on your profile icon in the top-right corner. A dropdown menu will appear—select “Certificates” to access the creation panel.

Customizable Fields

When creating a certificate, you will see various input fields. Each field corresponds to a specific area of the final document:

  1. Certificate Title: This is the main title of the certificate.

  2. Certificate type: A short message explaining the purpose of the certificate (i.e. “Certificate of Completion”).

  3. Text 1: The first textual part of your certificate (i.e. "It is certified that").

  4. Text 2: The second textual part of your certificate (i.e. "completed successfully").

  5. Text 3: The third textual part of your certificate (i.e. "held in e-learning mode on Taylora platform").

  6. Note: You can add additional details regarding the certification.

  7. Background Image: you can select the image you want on the certificate.

Previewing Your Certificate

Once you have filled in the fields, you can preview the certificate before finalizing it. In preview mode:

  • The user’s name is replaced with your own (since you are the creator).

  • The course title is shown as a placeholder, as it will be dynamically generated when issued.

This helps you visualize how the final certificate will appear to learners.

How Certificates Are Generated for Users

When a learner completes the course:

  1. Their full name (as registered on Taylora) will automatically replace the placeholder in the certificate.

  2. The course title will be inserted dynamically based on the completed course.

  3. The final, personalized certificate will be available for download directly from their account.

Key Points to Remember

  • Certificates are fully customizable with fields for title, description, Text and Background Image

  • The preview mode allows you to see the layout before finalizing it.

  • User names and course titles are automatically inserted when certificates are generated.

  • Learners can download their certificates once they have completed the course.
